Getting Started
Welcome to the MLOps Machine Translation Challenge with Zindi.
This page is designed to help you navigate through the 4 essential steps to participate effectively in the competition. Whether you're a seasoned data scientist or new to machine learning, this guide will walk you through the registration, experimentation, deployment, and submission processes.
This high-level overview provides a snapshot of the competition process. For detailed guidance on each step, please refer to the sidebar on the left.
1. Register
Registration is the first step to enter the competition, allowing you access to resources, updates, and competition tracking.
2. Experiment
Experimentation is fundamental to machine learning. In this phase, you will develop, test, and refine your models prior to deployment.
Data scientists will find this step familiar as it mirrors the typical development lifecycle of model creation and refinement.
3. Deploy
Deployment involves publishing your model on the Highwind platform, so it can be evaluated and used within the competition framework.
Why Deploy on Highwind? Highwind facilitates efficient testing and iterative improvements, ensuring that your model adheres to competition standards.
4. Submit
Submission is the final step where your model is officially entered into the competition for scoring and ranking.
Submission Limits
To prevent submission spamming, you are allowed only three submissions per day. This encourages well-considered and strategically planned submissions.
This competition is designed not only to challenge your skills in machine translation but also to enhance your understanding and implementation of MLOps practices. By following these steps, you'll be well on your way to participating effectively and maybe even taking home the prize! Good luck!
